The Reverend Canon Kirrilee Reid was born in Canberra, Australia, and brought up in various places in rural New South Wales, her father being a bank manager. She worked for many years as a youth worker and children’s chaplain and studied theology at St Mark’s National Anglican Theological College in Canberra. Kirrilee was the Children’s Chaplain at St John’s Neville’s Cross in Durham (2003-2005) before returning to Australia where she lectured in Youth Ministry at Charles Sturt University and completed her Diploma of Anglican Orders and Chaplaincy on route to ordination as Deacon and then priest in 2007.
Since her time in Durham, Kirrilee had felt a strong calling to return to the United Kingdom to continue her ministry. She and her husband, Ewan, have strong connections with Scotland, Kirrilee's ancestors having come from the Borders and Ewan's father from Dundee. Ewan and Kirrilee have three children, Angus, Tobias and Milly, all of whom are attending university in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Ewan is the current Deputy Rector at Perth Academy.
Kirrilee was inducted as Rector of All Saints by the Bishop of Brechin in February 2010, and was made a Canon of St. Paul's Cathedral, Dundee in 2016.
